Applying For Admin

Here are the guide lines to using the admin capabilities

*note* those who do not do as we ask, we will take away your privileges!  Anything done in the server gets recorded by logs so there is no bull shitting your way out of it.

So far admin is $5 a month. No refunds are given because your money goes straight to the server not to my pocket.

Map Changing

First off don't do it. This is because the map rotations are set and we have spent months figuring out the best rotation and as you can see it works.  I don't care if people say this map sucks, most people deal with it and when you give them the map they want they leave.  Most people come on to play for a little bit, maybe just one round and when you change the map they usually say ah well this is a good time for me to stop or I don't want to wait for the map to load screw it, time for a different server.

I understand if it's late at night and there?s like 6 people on the server and you just want to fuck around. Then ya load the shitty maps or the fun maps like mario cart cuz nobody wants to play seriously. I'm all for it, its cool.

And if you are to change the map due to the situations always run suddendeath first and then change the map because I hate, just HATE when the map randomly changes!  It's BULLSHIT!  Run SUDDENDEATH so the match has an end and then change the map to what is desired.

Fucking Around

Fucking around is fun to do we all know, but it sucks when you are burning a person or slapping them with admin powers and they don't like it.  Just don't do it, it's cool once in a blue moon and I know you are gonna want to do it when you first get the power, but resist that!  It's all good if someone asks for it because hey it was by request but don't fuck around to much!  Try to just mess around when nobody is around and fuck yourself or something lol.

Also don't teleport yourself around and kill people, especially if it is a serious game with full amount of people in the server, thats just retarded come on.  It's cool though like I said if we are all in a screwing around mood and you want to find the skybox in the map to make your self really huge, thats always funny, but be smart!

Which Mod is Which?

Currently we are running two server mods which are Sourcemod= www.sourcemod.net and beetlesmod= www.beetlesmod.com

When you bind this key bind m "@menu" you are using Beetlesmod and then when you bind this key bind n "sm_admin" you are using sourcemod

For now beeltesmod is the default, use that for playing sounds and such and map votes, ****DO NOT USE SOURCEMOD FOR MAP VOTES, THEY CHANGE THE MAP RIGHT AFTER!!**** beetlesmod sets whatever map is voted for the next map after the round is over, like I said before don't change the maps.

Sourcemod is good for enabling plugins like 100% crits which falls under the fucking around category.  Also use sourcemod to mute an annoying player whos abusing voice chat, thats understandable to shut them up.

Banning people.  Keep it to a minimum and if someone is being retarded or hacking, just keep on kicking them with beetlesmod, 3 times and they are automagicaly banned.  Usually they get the message when you kick them but not everyone does.

Finally whenever you think of doing something, pass it on to the people first, this is a democratic server.  It's the people's server, the people's elbow, and the people's eyebrow.  You can do custom votes by typing this in the console "sm_vote "should I enable 100% crits" source mod automatically puts a question mark at the end and sets it up as a yes no question automatically.  Then you see the results in the chat and you know the answers and then proceed.

These are the guidelines for now and are subject to change by other members.

Now that I'm also paying for the new file host which is $6.99 a month and $30 a year for the domain named I'm getting my ass kicked so any amount right now would help out.  Also you have to pay for two years up front to get that rate so the bill was around $300

Not to mention the server being $40 a month

Earlier tonight, there was a guy pissing off the server and I really couldn't do jack about it. He found out we couldn't do jack about it and began to gloat about how dumb it is to have a server with sounds like ours. The spam of the !skittles didn't piss me off half as much as him gloating and mocking the server.

Basically, I would just like to kick some of these fags when they are really, really asking to be kicked. This guy was asking to, and he knew noone could. I do not need the ban powers, and I don't need some of the other functions, but I can spot 5 bucks a month for the comfort of kicking an asshole.

I can help with some more undermoderated times during some week days if that would be asked also.

So anyway, if the powers that be would rather not give me this ability that is cool with me. Just making the offer.

well I think that I'll apply sometime here, I'm in the same boat as Crit and Ters but kinda in the middle.
I try to add all the mods I know so if something goes down I can just go to steam and ask one to get on, but there have been a few griefers that have gotten way out of control on the server, and have upset people to the point of leaving, I can't do anything about it but leave people messages so it kinda sucks.

I'm in it like Crit, no two nickels to rub together, but as soon as I get another job I'll definitly have the 5 bucks, and Dom your story reached my heart, so I'll probly pay in advanced for months, idk... maybe like 300 bucks just to be nice xD but anyway... yeah...

I've been an admin in only one clan, it was personally a terrible experience considering no one
respected or appreciated my work. I would slave for months, map-making, updating the server
and creating a website. I left the clan because no one gave a sh*t, everyone left, it was a Death-
match group if anyone remembers the game. I donated 30 dollars to keep it running, and it went
to the fricken leader's bar-tab. Not to mention gambling problem. The clan relied on me as the
night shift due to me being a late-night/early morning gamer, I didn't mind that at all.
I have extremely high hopes for this clan, and thrive on the fact that it is not relyant on other
groups for support and isn't looking to start a fight.
I hope to one day have a pleasant experience as admin. ^. ^

Seems to me that the key to admin powers is never to use them unless 90% of the server is in clear agreement with you, or if you can keep whatever you're doing separate from anyone that would be bothered.

hey guys. i would like to apply for an admin spot. i've finally got all settled in the new place that i just moved to, and have been in the server alot more lately. i'm usually on during the later hours of the server, when alot of other admins aren't on or awake cause it's around 5 a.m. server time. I'm on most of the weeknights as well till fairly late, which is another time that alot of admins are busy or just not online. I have no desire to be abusive of my powers and would use them very rarely, only when the whole server wants something, or there's just not that many people on and we want to fuck around a little bit. So in closing, I do hope that you guys would consider me for the position.

Well the time has come.  I said about 4 months ago I'd apply for admin when I get my first paycheck, and now I have it.  I completely agree to all of the terms as an admin except maybe the part about abusing powers...against myself.  I'm on during mid-day western time when most admins are gone.  I tend to be pretty understanding when it comes to dicking around but the one case where I'd intervene immediately would be if some ass was bothering one the girls in a "OMFG WANNA CYBER" kinda way.

Also MiYuggi would be a kick ass admin.

Well I asked dom about admin and he said apply, so here it goes. I have past experiance as an admin in other games, but im sure you guys could care less about it. Well im curious to hear what you guys have to say. It's hard to track an admin down and it always seems like one is needed when no one is online. I'm almost always at my computer when im home and can jump in game whenever and admin is needed.

I would like to apply for admin also. I'm hard to make angry so I know I won't abuse any power given to me. I think all the rules laid out are very sensible and will follow them with no arguments. My main motivation for applying is simply a desire to help out the server and the clan, as I'm usually a late-nighter or mid-day player when most admins are not around, and people seem to get sick of playing one map all night. Not sure what else I really need to say, except I'm very level-headed and I don't tend to rage out on players in-game without good reason.
