Hi homedoggies-

So I am making a video clip combining some stuff from Wall-E and from TF2. I dont know how much yall know about video compositing, but I need to "greenscreen" a sentry doing it's movements. In order to pull a good key, I need a solid blue or green (preferably green) background with no shading.  I have no idea how to use hammer to make myself a level that has a pure green texture on the walls and this is where I need help. If anyone is handy with Hammer and wants to make me a green box big enough to a get a decent long shot of a Sentry, I would be much obliged and you would get credit.

And I will trade for the level! I am a "savvy" Photoshopper, animator, 3d modeler, and drawer. And I have a wicked Badminton serve.

Also, if anyone has any ideas or hints about pulling a key or alpha out of TF with Fraps, let a bitch know please. Cuz this bitch is helpless.

Wally out.

There's all sorts of Garry's Mod resources out there for exactly this sort of thing... but you need Garry's Mod.

There's no "greenscreen" texture in the SDK (granted I didn't look very hard) but if Garry's Mod doesn't work for you, I'll look into importing custom textures.

You dont have to use a green screen, you can use any solid color that the color of the sentry does not have like blue, red, white, maybe black then you can use an effect called tween I believe which i have used in a lot of my videos using a lagit installation of adobe adution.

If you need some help let me know, i know that program very well and so does ARmaster as long with photo shop i know very well, not to sound un-modest

try typing in "green" at the search menu on the bottom of the textures.

I figured that something like this might come in handy.  I made a map called td_virtualsets download here.  It's got plenty o green area (green screen), and I've included at no additional cost: Red, Blue, White, and Black sets as well.

Also included are red and blue spawns protected (marginally) from spawn camping sentries (in case you want to get an enemy in the shot).  There's plenty of metal and health packs and a purty sky.

If you want any kind of prop or decal/texture put on anything, let me know.  Its pretty easy.

Stobbin, this is ace work. Seriously.

The multi level platform for perspective change is genius and the proctected spawn is killer.

I am testing a key pull right now.

Thanks again and let me know if you need anything.
