Guys this server is free for me to host, and it wont be up all the time, if you guys really want a L4D server I would probably ask for help on the funds but for right L4D doesnt really have any mods and nobody really needs to host a server imo untill shit starts developing, its up to you guys as a clan if you want me to host a professional l4d server  |

You have to connect to it in the gayest way, and this is for pretty much any server that you want to directly connect any server (Well mostly)
The server is up and running but what is sooooooooooooooo GAY about l4d is that it choses when the server CAN be played on... Isn't that fucked up? So I'm waiting for a mode to over ride that, meaning the server sends the heartbeat to the master servers and steam is like okay well we go people playin this server so we dont need you yet, then all of a sudden BOOM server full because of the lobby bull shit. If you want to play on it you HAVE to look at our steam group's server and DON'T create a lobby, it wont do anything... so just click join server and if steam allows it then you can join, if not play another server because for right now theres really no important mods or admin powers so for now play it if you can until I mods get made.

Alright so I modded the L4D server today thanks to Dirty Dave from skul shock and I have it set up so that people from a lobby can't connect to the server and that only people memebers of the steam group can join it but I think if you are in the server and someone wants to join you on your friends list, they can get in. So far it worked just fine with the new setup with spawning the infected, me and Crit just had a blast fucking around with it TD style and Crit was never able to get into the server before, so I'm pretty sure it works but remember you have to load up L4D and then wait awhile probably about a min or two and then the Team Domination steam group server should pop up at the bottom so click on that and then wait a little bit until it gives you the option on the bottom right to join, you guys should have no problems now.

So the little server on the side bar says the server can now hold 14 players. You find a way to add 6 more zombies to versus dom? Also, and stobbin will probably agree with me, if theres a way to also have a lobby for the server only accessable to steam group people that would be really helpful.

I added that so you can slay any other zombies spawned by the AI like a tank or hunter, otherwise you can't slay them and no the game will only allow 4 and 8 on vs.
Also I'm waiting to see what valve does with the lobby setup, I agree with what you are saying but so far theres nothing I can do.

I was messing with some server values to test something and it looks like that failed, I'm just waiting for sourcemod to get everything up and stable and I really don't feel like putting time into it since its not a public server.

u dont need boomer bile tex u can just use the reg one and call it louis_bile.vtf or whatever the boomer tex is called, they will be highlighted in orange so u'll know,
and o yeah, i forgot about the other animations, i think that you can steal those animations from the l4d models and import them into the tf2 models and they will work because i think that they animate the skeleton. not the whole model itself.

Seeing as you have your own L4D server maybe you can explain why my game is acting strange to me? When I play l4d, my mouse sensitivty is through the roof, and i have it set all the way down to the bottem. I cant breathe without pulling a 900 and shooting myself in the foot.
Help me Dom-in-ater, your my only hope....because I am far to lazy to actually look around for a solution.

its a pretty cheap logitech wireless. You know, maybe 20 bucks. It worked fine at first, and it works fine for TF2 and everything else. It's only when I play L4D that it starts to seizure. =/

yea I am not surprised. I plan on getting another one eventually. Just don't really have the cash at the moment so I work with what I have. I will try the reinstall thing and see how it goes.
