 i made it just to mess around to see if it would look good if i drew something, so i drew up a bloody hand and recolored it in photoshop |

A back and white background would look nice with some assorted brushes, do you know where to find those?
Maybe included your name with white text and a little bit bloody, I'm not really liking the background you have there, maybe its the contrast to our forums color.
If your really good you can animate the blood on the hand with all that stuff above, it's got a lot of potential. A simple bored might look good to.

but yeah, just get a bunch of brushes, and make lots of layers with lots of brushes

Just make a new layer then got to edit, fill and select black, then ctrl+shift+N for new layer and make sure the color is white for the brushes and create your own background, then:
ctrl+shift+E to merge them all together, then ctrl+j to duplicate it just incase you want the original, then ctrl+b for colors and ctrl+u to adjust the hue and saturation
