Map Rotation

[Crit Goes Where?!?]

Theres been talk by pretty much everyone that the map rotation isn't what it should be.  Most people are unhappy with some maps (and that will always be some people like that).
This is just to post a list of maps that you guys would like to see.  If there seems to be a trend then maybe we could change the rotation a bit.

I think there should be a good mix of stock and custom maps instead of all just stock maps.
And there is a way to make arena work for at least 13 people per team.  I go to these guys when I'm itching for some arena so maybe talk to them to maybe get it to work here.

Crit pull up the server list later and look for servers that are full and then tell me what maps they are on, no I'm not being a smart ass here and I'm serious.  If you see a custom map with a full server I will add it but I've had it with people and there request for new maps.  I go through all this trouble to add a map (yea dud this map looks great! then load it up, nah I don't like this map blah blah blah.....)  I've only really seen frontier be played and not really other maps that have a full or at least active server.  Don't ask me why I honestly don't know.  Am I sick of the maps yea but I got past that because I really don't care anymore as I learned how to enjoy each map and I also see what happens when you try to make people happy.

I like some of the maps you suggested and I'm going to test some new maps tonight to see if the new update fixed map changing with custom maps although I don't think it did because I didn't see anything on the update news.

Also I watch all of you and what servers you play on so I keep things a lot in mind.  If you guys keep the server active I would make the whole rotation custom maps besides badwater.  All I care about is that the server stays active and full otherwise it's a waste of money and a waste of a server.  Plus it makes me sad that something I want to give to people isn't getting used, though I can't expect it to always be used.  It's paid for you guys and I don't get why the server isn't as active, I think it's because of TF2 (you can't really play one on one like other games so getting the server to get people in is tough at first) but other games that I've hosted a server on I never had any trouble keeping it active and I didn't have to get it active every single day.

I certainly would like to see some map changes, or at least one new map, but it's definitely not going to stop me from playing if it doesn't happen. My favorite from Crit's list is Cashworks, that's a really well made map. It really sucks that people don't want to play customs though, and keeping the server active is definitely important.

I understand when you guys play on different servers when our server is empty but if you would just join when the server is empty it will fill up pretty quick, If you guys do that for me I'll gladly add custom maps.  Like I said I really don't care what maps are on as long as people are playing them.

We have tried custom maps before and each time we fail.  I've been waiting for the majority of the people to get sick of the stock maps, I mean come on how long has the game been out?  I don't remember HL2:DM taking that long to go to custom maps, then again HL2:DM maps are smaller size, with TF2 usually a good custom map has a large file size which I think valve should have and in game option to download custom maps from a map list through them and then they wont discouraged when trying to join a server that has a custom map they don't have.

Basically you scratch my back and I will scratch yours, I'm very good on my word and I go out of my to do favors for people who do small ones that I greatly appreciate like helping filling the server.

I understand your frustration with the maps thing I remember several times we've tried custom maps and it's been a bust.
But, you know I wouldn't make an argument without doin' the research first.


Our own server seems to likes pl_waste so that shouldn't be a problem.

Hmm Steel wasn't to big of a fan after it got added to TF2

Lol we do have fast downloads I just don't advertise it on the server name, maybe I should.

I got cashworks and some other custom maps on the fun night map cycle so me and stobbin shouldn't have to manual choose the next map.

Did we like aqua?  I liked it but i think it was the typical meh i don't like it.  We should play it again then.
